Join the Syosset School District Business Advisory Council
First Meeting December 13
The Syosset Central School District has a strong connection with our community. As a member in the Syosset community, we invite you to take part in the Syosset Professional Advisory Council (SPAC), the mission of which is to encourage the professional, parental and educational communities to work together to help prepare our students with the skills needed to keep pace with the ever-changing needs of the workplace.
In the past five years, with the help of over 100 community members (with representation from all career fields), we have created our SYO+ Pathway program, identified industry standard micro-credentials for our students to earn, hosted meetings and events such as our Linked-In Networking event all of which have helped prepare our students for life outside the classroom. We are excited to continue this work in year six and grow the SPAC to include even more community members with expertise in all career fields including but not limited to, technology, medicine, health science, law, engineering, media, business, management and hospitality/entertainment etc.
Please join us for our first meeting this school year on Friday, December 13th 8am-9:30am at Syosset High School We will be networking, asking for feedback/advice on new initiatives, planning events and working together to bring to life the education going on in our classrooms.
